CAMP GENERAL: |
What are the age restrictions for the camp? |
Typically, the camp has had participants as young as entering grade 7 up to those entering college in the fall. For the younger campers we ask that they have had some exposure to the sport prior to attending OR please let us know if you are a beginner. |
Do you allow male participants at the camp? |
We do allow male participants to enroll in our camp. We do ask that if a male is interested in enrolling in the camp that they reach out to us via email or phone as well. We will need to have a conversation in order to accommodate housing, as we will have to make appropriate housing arrangements. |
How many campers per room? |
Often the new dorms we have been using in the past have suites similar to small apartments with rooms of singles and doubles which all open up to a shared common area. These house 6-8 campers and have their own bathrooms in each suite. There are no triple rooms available but we do our best to put all roommate requests together or in suites. School / Club teams will be put in suites next to each other and we will talk to the relevant coaches to assist in rooming lists. |
Will I definitely get my requested roommate? |
In most cases when both campers request each other you will be placed in a double. Sometimes when there is a three way request or multiple requests we do our best to place all campers together or next to each other in a suite. |
What Dorm are the campers staying in and is it air conditioned? |
All dorms will have AC and most likely a fridge / freezer combo. Info about the specific dorm will be sent out later in the year in follow up emails. |
What time is check in and check out? |
Check in will start at 12pm on the first day and check out is 12pm on the last day. We will always work around your travel plans if you cannot make these times, but please just give us notice beforehand. |
What do I do if I need to arrive late to camp or check-out early? |
If you have a camper who will need to leave camp before the check-out time or arrive after the designated check-in time. Please contact us via email to let us know date and time of late arrival/early check out, so that we can make sure they properly check-in or out. |
What if I need to check in the night before? |
Campers checking in early (the night before) must have pre-arranged for this and bring an additional check of $40. Please be sure to list this in your registration and also email fhcamps@wfu.edu if you would like to check in early. Early check-in will take place at the same dorm as regular check-in and we will have staff present to greet you and get you settled. We also place staff members in the dorm that night for security. No camper will be left to their own devices the night before and will be supervised. Early arrivers – there are no organized meals built in for the night before and the morning of camp. Please bring some cash with you for meals and the coaches will help you order food together (usually it is something like pizza for dinner, bagels in the morning, etc.). |
CAMP FINANCIAL: |
I am driving myself to camp…How do I obtain a parking pass and how much does it cost? |
Please add to your general info in the registration if you are planning on driving yourself and also e-mail prior to the camp start date. Parking passes are free to campers and obtainable at check-in. |
Does the camp offer discounts for siblings or any opportunity for scholarships? |
Because the camp is owned by a Div. 1 College coach and we are sanctioned by NCAA rules. There are no discounts permitted for our camps but we suggest those seeking scholarships reach out to their local booster clubs to see if anything is available. |
How do I obtain a refund? |
Refunds are given on a case by case basis such as a recent injury or family emergency, but not for matters such as vacations etc. Please note, the later the request the less a refund may be due to paying internal / reservation costs for housing and meals. All refunds are also subject to a $50 processing fee. |
